Oxnard Union High School District is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Freda Rossi as the new Director of Wellness and Inclusion.  Dr. Rossi is currently the Coordinator of Family Engagement for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.  Her extensive experience includes thirteen years of teaching, ten years in administration as a director, coordinator, assistant principal and principal.  She earned her Doctorate of Education from UC Irvine. 

In her new role of Director of Wellness and Inclusion, she will focus on partnering with stakeholders to create instructional environments that support academic rigor, access, mental wellness, cultural relevance, and relationships that ignite the potential of each and every student as the norm.  The department will focus on building the capacity of leaders to create inclusive environments that honor every student’s ability, race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, language, and sexual orientation. As the director she will develop and implement districtwide education, outreach and training initiatives to promote and sustain a climate of diversity, inclusion, equity and respect.
